Have you seen the incredibly lovely cover of January's House & Garden? Both the cover and a feature story focus on actress Chloe Sevigny and her East Village home. I adore the wallpaper in the entry shown above: Imperial Trellis from KWID. Also shown above in the garden are Sevigny and her decorator David Cafiero, who owns Cafiero Select. It's a beautiful spread.

Oh My God!!! How beautiful is that!!! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the Kelly Imperial Trellis wallpaper. I have cushions in my shop in that design!! WOW. Can't wait to get my hands on a copy of your American January House & Garden!
Anna
Anna, you should post on your blog pictures of those cushions and this image of the entry wallpaper. I'm sure everyone would love to see them :)

Great Idea. I might just do that!!! Don't you just love that picture of the entrance and the gorgeous bike!!! Wow, I can't stop looking at it!!!

Yes I LOVE everything about the picture, including the view down the hall with the mirror at the end.
another reason I'm so glad I found this blog. I bought this issue of H&G specifically for this enterance picture!
Also, I second it: would love to see the cushions on Anna's blog, too. My sister has great chairs I've been trying for months to convince her to reupohlster (too late for me to check spelling) in kwid's Trellis. Always pleased to see the pattern used somewhere.
Oh Kate (proj mag) I hope your sister goes for it! Which color are you and she thinking about?
Yeah, that wallpaper is a great choice, esp with those floorboards.
Also, I LOVE the guest bedroom completely wrapped -- walls, bed, door -- in the floral, with the adorable red Chinese writing table against one wall. It's in the magazine but not shown here, obviously :)
You're all so lucky to be able to see the magazine. I'm down here in Aus and won't get a copy for ages. Courtney please post some more pictures!!! I'd love to see them!!!!

To answer Courtney's question - in citrine... b/c she loves that color and also wants a lot of pale blue in the room. My sister isn't interested in design and it takes a long time for things to grow on her. *sigh* we'll see. I'm not holding my breath.
The citrine is fabulous!
Citrine would look so striking with pale blue too.
For those seeking more images of the home, there is a photo slideshow available on the HG site: http://www.houseandgarden.com/main/thismonth/
(though I imagine it only serves as a `sneak peak')...Courtney, your site is fabulous - I'm so pleased to have stumbled upon it :)
Anon,
Thanks for the kudos!
Cheers,
Courtney
Hi Everyone..
I just viewed the
H&G "Slide Show" preview for Sevigny's shoot and I saw some fantastic looking Nautical China with Anchors which was shown in
Slide #8 - nautical china, taken in Sevigny's dining room.
I went to the website link where she got this china and apparently it is real WW2 U.S. Navy dinnerware and they have some very unique and apparently authentic nautical dinnerware and furniture as well! I wonder how Sevigny or her decorator Cafiero ever found the store.
It's called "The Pirate's Lair" and the link given on H&G is www.thepirateslair.com .
It's certainly worth a look, I wonder if Sevigny has any of their treasure chests or nautical tables? We have a vacation home at Cape May and the china would be perfect for it!
This is a great Blog!
Rachel
Thanks Rachel!
Happy 2007
